Recent research suggests that as many as one in 50 people may suffer from some degree of face blindness. I may be 1 of them.
Prosopagnosia....What the heck is that??
Prosopagnosia also known as face blindness. It is a disorder where by victims can't remember a person's face even though they have seen the face a thousand hundred times... Sometimes it's so bad that patients of prosopagnosia can't remember their own face.
So, how do i know that I'm suffering from Prosopagnosia??
Most of the time, I can't follow the pace of a movie...I'm having difficulties in differentiating all the characters in the movie... And there are a lot of times when I can't recognise the person who greeted me. [At those times, I just play along acting like a dumb kid often with a big grin on my face.]
Sometimes it gets so bad that I almost mistake myself as a super leng chai in front of the mirror... hey, I may be exaggerating, but i can't deny the fact that I'm probably suffering from mild Prosopagnosia...
So, if I do not wave back the next time you see me on the streets, I may have forgotten how you look like... But that doesn't mean that I have forgotten about your existence. I know who you are, just that i forgot how you look like..
However do say 'hi' to me whenever you see me. You might just get to know a new friend if that person ain't me....
A comment or two will be greeted with warm hands.

[Photo] B'day Photos
Last December was the month I came back home, to m'sia....And I'll be flying back to sydney this friday (23rd Feb 2007).
For the 2months ++ I've been here in msia, these are the only photos I'm in. [B'day Photos]
I'm gonna be someone great someday! Ask my burning desire and its gonna scorch you to death. Thus making me a far too important person to do photo editting, so I ripped those photos off from Ms.Wendy's Blog.
Say what?? Ripped??
Yup. I got the photos from her blog, linked up to my blog and the best part is.....I did not ask for her permission to do so. Well...friends do not sue each other. Considering Ms.Wendy is 1 of my close friends, its only natural that I expect her to act as a true friend..
Besides, I just have the feeling that she won't mind at all. Be happy, its all been verified by my 6th sense.
Hhhmmm....Somehow I sense someone or something is going to smite me soon...
Oh well, I guess I shouldn't be mindful of anyone smiting anyone anytime soon. According to the weather forecast, the weather is gonna be dry and sunny for these few days.

Karate Bash
Last sunday was my last day of Karate Class in SMKSJ for the year as I'll be going off to sydney soon in a few more days...
[Yup, for those who do not know, I'm in Karate! And for those who are curious, I still go for my secondary school karate class even though I've graduated from the school 5 years ago...]
Well, since its my last karate class, might as well make the best out of it.
Naturally, I challenged 3 black belt seniors for a final fight! [Kim Han, Daniel Alfred, and Kelvin, 3 of my close pals in the Karate Club.. These 3 are few of best in terms of Kumite in our Karate Class]
Just like last year, we spar with all we have till we get bruises, cuts, and blisters. Of course, we did it with a goodwill of sportmanship. We hurt and blast each other all we can and we shook hands after that. It was all great fun. I haven't had the chance to sweat it all out in such a long time...
I was on fire that day! Didn't even feel the pain until much later after the all Kumite fights. I kept on going even with the huge blister on both my feet. I tell you, I was on adrenaline rush that day!
And the pain...was their farewell gift for me before I leave m'sia.
Just like last year.

End of training
Last saturday was my last day of my industrial training as I was attached to the prestiged Project HAT95 with the ultimate aim to build a military hospital.
That last day was the day I've been waiting for since the 1st day of my training. Glad to say that it is also the best day compared to the rest of my training days. That day was the day when I truly felt appreciated and I guess all my work before this wasn't left un-noticed as I thought it would be.
Come to think about it, I was fortunate enough to be placed in the all dangerous life threathening construction project working with tough people.
Hey, it is a construction site project after all, so there was a certain level of risk. I was nearly killed by a brick thrown from 4 stories above back then... That brick was only a shoulder-lenght away from my head when it came down with the speed of an asteroid. If I would have walked normally as I would have, the brick would have bypass the defence of my helmet to place me in ICU in another hospital setting a timer to leave for the heavenly world. Well, fortunately I slowed down my pace to an almost halt speed as I was thinking about Valentine's day. And because I slowed down, I avoided death. So, I can be said that valentine's day actually prevented my death.
[Hehe, I did exaggerate a bit...but hey, it was all to illustrate how dangerous my work is.. ]
There, I did not learn much about technical knowledge about engineering, but rather more on ways on how to interact with people which I think is a more useful skill than any engineering knowledge.
Most may ask what did I gain from there??
Most would ask what is the most useful experience that I did obtain from my training period?
And I would say that 1st IMPRESSION is very very improtant.
I kinda experimented with a power-position person. I was acting all caring and a 100% efficient trainee for the 1st 4 days just to develop a really really good impression on that PowerPerson. And for the subsequent 56 working days, I start to slack gradually performing like a really dumb fella incapable of accomplishing anything. The fascinating thing about the subsequent 57days is that the PowerPerson still perceived me as the same person I am on our 1st encounter.
PowerPerson conjures excuses such as 'This trainee must have a tough day' or 'This trainee must have not enough sleep' or 'this trainee is probably sick or something like that' just to justify my slacking attitude during those 56days. In PowerPerson's mind, I'm still the most efficient person working for Project HAT95 even though I was not... And even at the last day of my training, PowerPerson still perceives me a the most efficient person in that project. [hmm... come to think about it....Maybe....just maybe, i'm just the most efficient person there even when I'm slacking a lot.. Dang! I'm good!!]
Yup, 1st impression is very important..... And this was the most valuable skill I manage to pick up during my training days...
My industrial training days are all over, Chinese New Year will be around in the next 6 days. And now, it's time for me to enjoy my break....
Enjoy ur day folks!!!
